At least 25 wildfires across California have been exacerbated by blazing temperatures and dry winds, and over 200 people trapped by flames were airlifted to safety.

  1. Ok, I’m just curious… why don’t we use our old jet engines and adequate tank chassis to make our version of “windy”. It won’t help deep in the forests but the thing dumps enough water to extinguish oil well fires and that should help save some towns I’d think. Yes, it’s a real thing, it exists, and it’s been around since the late 80s.

  7. What's it going to take to get people to start taking this climate change seriously? Now that it's September, it was 117⁰F in Los Angeles the other day. We keep hitting records for high temps and longer droughts.
    These people using pyrotechnics during such high risk conditions should be held criminally liable for ignoring strict laws. People in the future need to know that they'll be held accountable for such criminally negligent behavior.

  16. Man-made equipments can't help right. This is way past human help. More the reason for us to cry out to God. He can quench any flame, He can and will intervene if we would seek Him, call out to Him. He will surely answer. These things will happen and more, because we let go of God in our schools, in our countries and in our homes, and replaced Him with many, and Man-made idols. Have mercy Lord. May these experiences behoove us to go back to God our Creator.

  28. A dim congressman was recently cut off while saying the food delivery system will be broken in November…WM is pushing curbside pick up to prevent people seeing empty shelves…Dollar General has more canned meat than WM at better prices..
    No one needs to be spending big bucks on ‘long term storage’ food🙄

  32. It’s like the fire officer said, fires are started by natural ways, (lightning)or by people; hot temps. alone do not start fires. I pray for all that are affected, and our great firefighters.

  38. The whole state is on fire. There is a nice very unexpected reprieve from this insanity. Today in Fontana CA we had a high temperature of 83. Yeah 83 it was forecast for 100+ all this week and now the temp dropped overnight. Apparently there is a storm front moving into Colorado which is contributing to wacky weather and cooling this heatwave. Temps have dropped 20 degrees and could drop more which will help in controlling the fires. Just goes to show you, we're not in charge here, mother nature is. So thankful that sometimes she has our back. We're foolish, arrogant, and selfish. We don't deserve it but thank you.
