On the matter of language — someone from an earlier time might not understand the terms and accents of today. Instead of using the word "device", substituting the word "machine" might evoke a quicker, more positive response; easier for them to grasp the idea of what you mean.
Words are fluid. Over the years pronunciation and meaning tend to change.
An example would be how my great grandmother (born 1884), always referred to a "car" as a "machine". When I was a kid computers were called "electronic brains" or "computing machines".

What building is this?
I’ve had multiple accounts of ghost activity throughout my house! My family has heard disembodied voices, had my dads power saw unplugged and moved across the dinning room and into an entirely different room at like six in the morning (all while everyone was asleep), had a wooden beam land on my aunts back and leave a bruise, and the ghost even attempted to throw my dads non-electric hand saw at me and my mom while we were sitting in the kitchen (my dad has his tools all in the dining room). Luckily the saw got stuck in between my dads work stool and some crates or else we coulda gotten hurt by the saw

The creepiest thing about these episodes is how everyone's eyes look under the night vision. Pure black, like some kind of demon. Dead, lifeless, "like a DOLL'S eyes". We're going to need a bigger boat 😉😁
