  1. How do we know she is telling the truth? Harassment and sexual harassment are two different things. Maybe he was just a violent psycho. Who knows. Many women in the military especially latinas, lie to get what they want.

  2. So witnesses state they saw Robinson come out with a large container. Real bright investigators led by this Provost General….geez. What has the Army come to? Our enemies are watching.

  3. Our daughter wanted to joint the military: but the pandemic and the news about Vanessa were so brutal ; we live in California ; well my daughter and family told no no !!!! Our daughter is very gorgeous and she said no mom I will not be a other victim: she knows now and iam so proud of her! So is saddens me that with our kids gone off war first they got to be tortured! Oh who’s to blame??? The young girl or yong guy ; hey I brother let a bomb hit us then my kid being. Kill ! Sorry I had lost the respect to the first and middle man behind with this behavioral this isn’t respect

  4. I dont think Robinson is guilty….I believe he was chosen as the one who will take the blame. Every criminal has someone who will take the blame, take the charges.

  5. It's definitely a cover-up. I was briefly married to a low ranking specialist in the army and I saw the way they quickly got rid of him when sh** started to hit the fan in his group, unit- whatever it's called (it's been so long ago). You just can't speak out- they get rid of you and then shut you out. I was actually abused by him, and I never once heard from the CID again once they "chaptered" (got rid of him) him out. Out of sight, out of mind.

  6. My concern is:

When entering and exiting the arms room
The pins need to be entered!!!

Did the unit check up on her

Was she doing inventory or services for weapons?

  7. This is horrible and makes me sick to my stomach. Goes to show minorities in this country are thrown under the rug. Nobody ever gets down to it. This countrys turning awful !!! 😣😔 Rest In peace baby girl.

  8. It was a set up for Vanessa, they wanted her dead for the sexual harrassment. It was her day off. They didnt want time to pass. Richard, Aguilar, sergeants and the other ones are all involved in this sick murder. They call a complete investigation, when two months pased, then they supposedly started ttheir search. They are assholes that just want to recruit and recruit. A base that kills ect.

  9. Dont enroll in no army , navy crap. Just go to school and work 2 jobs. Why wake up and shower when they want you too. Those assholes belong in prison. That place needs a deep seriously investigation , so they can stop raping, killing ect.

  10. These assholes know what they did. Vanessa was afraid, and they took advantage of that. Never be afraid, speak out. Screw sergeants and all those assholes

  11. I hope this black news anchor puts this amount of energy into finding missing black women who are more likely to go missing than anyone else ini this country…

  12. That beautiful young lady who was a U.S. soldier should be alive and thriving, that awful soldier and his horrible girlfriend Will burn in hell……

  13. Killing? Is that correct? The name says a lot. Too many soldiers/people be murdered on or near the Army base without justice for the victims.

  14. Man what the f??ck is going on my ass is crying inside you dont know me vanessa gillan right why did you leave what all we went through im suggering i do for justice she wanted justice next time dont say youll do something do something im so sad and hurt

  18. The story is tragic and has some of the same gross negligence and failure to promote an atmosphere of equality and professionalism as the Harvey Weinstein. Shown to the world the missteps of leadership, the failure of the top brass to respond to this tragedy with the responsibility, dignity, and duty someone in a high ranking position commands, only to my amazement see only a cleverly designed campaign of stalling, misinformation, victim shaming, and of course denial of any wrongdoing that could potentially cost the Government unimaginable sums of money should the victims have grounds to untie and file a class action lawsuit, to at the very least compensate these individuals that signed away the freedom and safety we enjoy without the possibility for combat, disfigurement, or even death that they amazing individuals sacrificed for each and every one of us. In what I can only assume must be a horrifically painful, and confusing experience of being hurt, abused, scarred… both physically and bureaucratically by the very military you signed your life over to.

A lot of the comments read like it’s a coverup, something like a sexual assault or other serious crime or even murder by a Sargent or other high ranking army member that the Specialist Robinson accidentally discovered, and then was forced to dismember the body to end up being taken out by the army and staged like a suicide to cover the asses of who is involved.

If that’s the case, and I don’t think it is, it’s a scary proposition. Someone ranked high enough could quite literally make an entire family disappear (physical presence, bodies and evidence that would never be found, digital footprint, leaked personal and medical information to use to discredit or smear someone, etc), in theory and in practice with a trove of examples and those are just the ones we have been graciously shared with the public. I certainly am of the impression there are many more, and much darker examples we’ll never know about.

If it was a coverup, who is going to investigate the govt, the govt? I bet they don’t find anything.

As a father myself who watched everything play out on the media, the whole thing is just gross and I don’t even know what I would do or how I would handle myself if this happened to my daughter and I respect and commend Vanessa's family for being able to do the interviews and show up every week to protest and sticking with it, as painful as it was, as much as they just wanted/want to just go inside close the blinds, lay in bed and just hurt. Instead they burdened that pain for all of us, and sparking the investigation, and perhaps more importantly the attention of the world, in what is looking like the final push in the direction of a more open and progressive military that is more inline with the values and principles of the current population. Simultaneously by releasing whole units and other life long high ranking military personal, said loud and clear these are new times and there will be zero tolerance for that type of behavior. This has long mirrored the US Militaries very own code of conduct, which has for decades discouraged and warned of disciplinary measures for this exact scenario.

Instead by turned the other way has had the effect of harboring and in some cases even unknowingly encouraged mannerisms and ideologies of a US Soldier of the 1940’s, and a stark contrast with the perception and moral obligations we not only hope but expect of our current soldiers and members of the armed forces that protect us?

It’s wrong, it’s gross, I wish nothing for them but what is owed and do one day find closure for you and your family and what peace you can.

  19. Why didn't anyone search his container that he was taking out of the arms room? Seems like that would be a standard procedure to make sure you're not taking anything like weapons (or a dead body).
