3. I am sorry for this man's losses but to say far left Democrats caused this is seriously a stretch! Republicans take, hands down, more money from the NRA than other party. Supporting the 2nd amendment is a good thing but supporting war type weapons and not passing legislation that prohibits these types of weapons getting into the hands of children let alone anyone is something the NRA and Republicans need to give in on! Again, I am sorry for this man's loss but he is only looking at it from one side. If these weapons were not available it would never have happened the way it did.

14. Anyone watching this go to Andrew Pollock’s facebook page. Scroll down to 9/4/2020. Find the posted video captioned ‘New Yorkers are sick of the protesters’. The video is 37 seconds long depicting non violent protesters crossing an intersection. Like many NY motorist the driver begins honking with almost no reaction. The driver then floors it through the intersections. It does not appear anyone was hurt but I can’t tell. Andrew Pollock who’s own daughter was senselessly murdered by a crazed gunman captions this video with “If you block a roadway and surround a car, expect the driver to hit the gas.” Pedestrians have the right to cross at an intersection. Andrew Pollock is a mad dog let off his chain by Nikolas Cruz.

34. Nikolas Cruz perpetrated this horrible crime, not the gun he used, not the home life he came from, not the other people accused of negligence. What surprises me, both Andrew Scot Pollack's truly excellent speech AND in the myriad comments I see, is t he utter absence of mention of Scot Peterson, the Parkland, Florida, school resource officer whose job– as he accepted the responsibility of doing it– was to 1) have the training in tactics and gun use to enter the school and confront from cover Cruz (Peterson plainly lacked those skills), and 2) to accept that though skill-deficient he still HAD the responsibility as the sole (unfortunately!) legally armed person (an officer) on site to INTERVENE. And before other noble commenters snidely ask "would YOU have done something?" my response is a simple yes- and I'm trained to do it. So, doubters, go google the search terms "armed civilian stops shooting" and you will find MANY instances where persons having a spectrum of training (from none to lots) did just that.
