18. If the storm surge is half the predicted sea level surge, all those houses and boats in the background are gone. In Japan an expected tidal surge was to be 3 meters high and they had built a 10 meter wall. The bad part was that the surge was 140 meters high, so, anyone within a mile of the coast was killed. The Texas and Louisiana coast will be given a similar impact but over a wider area. I do not expect the storm surge to be over 20 feet but I do expect most areas to get over 5 feet easily, and that's not counting the rain and flooding.
