  3. It saddens me that the Foster Care System is broken around the world. These are easy solutions. These Departments can no longer do this to kids and youths.

  5. Foster kids need to get the help they need and become foster parents. Resources are key. Aged out foster kids are an underused resource.

  8. Something is really Very Wrong Indeed, when 50% of former foster kids end up homeless within 18 months of leaving the care system. Some 'care' system, to deem a child grown at 18, who is perhaps only 15 mentally, because of all the lack, trauma and trouble they went through. What an asocial country the USA is. Not even health care for all, no homes for all. No life for millions of aborted children. Does that country and its people even have a heart? Don't feed the homeless, but give them a home and something useful to do instead! It's done so much better in so many other countries. People like Mrs. Star should be honored and listened to. The generation before did a lousy job, and now a new generation is lost. The only way to change this, is Right Now.

  10. i had horrific parents…i cant beleive that people get paid to take care of kids….why would they bounce kids around? why wouldnt u give a child a stable home? how could u just let a kid get older and leave them? why on earth cant they stay at a home until they are ready to leave just like normal kids?? even if u arent getting paid? arent u attached to them? evil will get repaid these people shouldnt have pets either

  11. The foster care system is an evil terrorist system that made America’s incarceration issue and the homelessness issue go way up more than other countries homelessness and incarceration issues.

  13. I aged out of the foster care system at age 18. I was not ready to.effectively meet the challenges of life on my own. I knew I was not a stupid person but my education was substandard due to circumstances I had no control over. I considered joining the military after HS (there was a chance I would drop out). I took the ASVAB and scored quite well. I ended up in The US Air Force and chose a career with with a very good civilian application (intelligence). I have done well for myself all in all. I was not lucky. I earned it. I was willing to work for it but I was in FC from age 4 onward. Foster Homes, Group Homes, Orphanages even some time in a JD facility (I am not perfect). Having that said I am no liberal by any stretch of the imagination but I stand behind the belief that the kids who age out of the system need access to better resources and education. A child who is provided the opportunity to develop basic survival skills. (how to interview for a job, balance a bank account etc etc) will help them enhance their true potential. The system has been broken for years. These kids deserve better. God bless.

  14. You know this is a sad reality. Us parents make mistakes and I made mistakes and regret many things. My daughter has aged out the foster care system. We have built our relationship and I've helped her keep the positive way of life. My daughter is working for AmeriCorps and a friend of hers that has aged out the system and also work together. They are out to support and help these foster youth. I love these girls

  20. This is sad. I was a foster parent for nine years. I would never send a young adult out with no where to go. The foster care program encourages parents to train these children for emancipation. Get them a job, teach them to save, help them learn to budget and care for themselves. It's not easy by any means. Children of regular families can't afford to move out on their own. To tell a person they have to leave because they aged out shows the priority of the parents or the system.

  23. Sad but hard truth: when times are hard for the general public, orphaned kids really suffer. There are less donations to children’s charities, more focus on “our own family and our own safety,” which is totally understandable. But my heart bleeds when I think about these children – most do not have an adult that will watch out for them. Can you imagine having no family to turn to when you need food, or help with tuition, etc? no one to comfort and reassure them when a frightening pandemic breaks out? Please consider giving to a children’s charity in your region. These kids literally have no one else to look to for help 💕.

  28. In order for the system to work both sides have to be completely honest and she doesn't look completely honest to me she looked like she was a kid with a huge chip on her shoulder.

    I'm sure that she gave all of her Foster parents a hard time, whether they deserved it or not.

    My mother with a Foster parent she only excepted children between the ages of 3 and 6 because I was very young.

    As I grew older she started accepting children from the ages of 11 to 15. Now that was a big mistake. All my mother wanted to do was help them and most of them just gave her grief, panic, and a whole lot of worrying.

    My mother always had simple rules to live by.
    Always do your best if that is not enough then ask for help.
    Learn as much as you can in school
    If you're going to be late please let us know.
    Keep your Room clean and tidy.
    And dinner is served at 6:00 p.m.

    And every morning before we went to school she always made sure that we had our special little envelopes that had 2 dimes in them in case of an emergency, because back then we didn't have cell phones or pagers.

    I can see kids being angry with the situation they are in, but they don't need to destroy a woman who only wanted to give these kids a 2nd chance. My mother had to give up being a foster parent because it was too stressful at her age.

  32. It's not aging out of group homes, it's aging out the mind. There are mean kids in these group homes that counselors never see or hear. And I mean literally mean kids. I've experienced a bad situation where I was tied to bed and set on fire. And this is a group home. If it happens in one, it happens in others.

    What it means? It means your death has been paid! What death? The death of sin.
    The wage of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23

    Believe him and you will be saved. It's simple. As Paul said in the book of Ephesians 2:8-9
    – _For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
    Not of works, lest any man should boast._

    Be good person means nothing. Why? Because we are not saved by works, but by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone.

    What to do to became a child of God?

    A – Admit you are a sinner in need of a Savior. As it is written: There is non righteous, no, not one – Romans 3:10. For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God – Romans 3:23

    B – Believe on finished redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the Cross – Jesus Christ died on the Cross, was buried and He rose again the third day – 1Corinthians 15:1-4. If you want to enter to the Kingdom of Heaven, you must be like a child – children trust their parents. Why I mention parents? Because God is our Creator (Genesis 1:27), He is our Father, He is our Parent – Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart – Jeremiah 1:5

    C – Call on the name of the Lord and you will be saved. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved – Romans 10:9-10. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved – Romans 10:13.

    Jesus Christ is the shower/water, that cleans us of all unrighteousness. Come now, let us settle the matter, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; thought they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool – Isaiah 1:18

Alot of fraudulent people in FOSTERCARE preying on the kids, children and teens, babies in FOSTERCARE… If they don't have a better shot they'll frame people for crimes that their guardians ask them to help with and help them steal identities and lie on girls just like them but that they assume are better off, even though they don't have their family and are in FOSTERCARE too. Jeanette Rivera looks like my sister. Being helped to… Not report crimes and set people up for failure. * Rivera, Riviera…. Start? Carr. Major cover-up! Of lies and hurting many. * Rivera looks very much like Guillen. And my sister that was just here. They don't care who they hurt as long as they have help while screwing people over! The only reason they wouldn't have anywhere to go is if the staff members are blackmailing them and they don't snitch on them. Aka just tell the truth to protect themselves. My sister that looks like this girl, tormented me and lied on me. Making my life miserable by ultimatums. She would've had to stay with me a year and I would've put her on my lease to even give her my section 8 but she wanted things her way. Would lie about everything we would argue about and always made me the bad person. This person is that person. No regard. Could've had everything but didn't want to be respectful or listen to me. Because I care. I wonder where my real sister is. Maybe made to be hurt like this girls parents. Forgive me but I let this girl ruin my life thinking she was my sister. She never wanted help and terrorized me telling me things and never wanted the police involved. 2:24: starting a death threat to my brother or who they replaced to be him in his identity when he was younger. TERRORIZED him because he doesn't look like them. I don't believe kid that has been my brother is him but someone else but he could've been abused that bad to be a certain way. * My sister was at la Casita where girls lied on her to get her baby taken away. This is common around people who need to be right and hide things. * Char, Carl, Karla…* Actually that's good because they are still taken care of. Being accounted for. They all get help with housing unless they don't do counseling or comply. Or other reasons. Usually if you go to school, workshops and do your chores you will be fine. If not they will punish you for not knowing how to talk to you.
