6. Keep in mind this car probably weighs around 2300lbs.

7. Used to have a 61' with a stock 1300 (although original 1200). Drove 100kms in a haste once, forgot a meeting. Flat out when possible. Tickin on around 140kmh on the highway, passing modern cars.. Felt cool. Although my most dazzling high speed experience, driving it on the edge on 165's original wheels. Almost sitting on the ground. Way sportier than going 200+ in a BMW or others.

13. Love the old Ghia!!!The looks like an old "Turbo City" set up. I built 2 of those set ups some 20 years ago, One set up is on a 2110 in a sand rail, that one dynoed 226hp. The other set up was on a 1914 and it spun a rod before we got the bugs worked out. Great to see the old stuff, Get some decent brakes on it. Great Build, Thanks for sharing.

27. Aircooleds are underestimated! Used to own a type 3 squareback, currently in the market for a karmann or another type 3. My buddy had a 2100cc notchback that would smoke the 05-09 mustangs and the 09-10? I'm camaros when they came out. Cheap to buy build and fix

37. DUDE THE KARMAN GHIA CAME ORIGNALLY WITH A 1500 and A 1600 cc engine AT LEAST IN EUROPE NOT WITH A 12OO CC ENGINE THAT WAS ONLY BY THE VERY FIRST VW BUGS !
