Porsche 918 Spyder Goes DRAG RACING & More!

This beautiful Porsche 918 Spyder showed up the the Streetcar Takeover Atlanta, Georgia event to compete in both a drag racing and roll racing class! You typically don’t see one of these prestigious supercars trying their hand at the drag strip, but low and behold this guy wasn’t afraid to use the car to it’s full potential! This car is a hybrid powered vehicle, so the torque the electric motor provides off the line is PERFECT for stellar 60 foot times! Turbo Camaros, Corvette, Turbo Porsches, and a few others try their hand at showing who’s boss on the drag strip, but were likely quite surprised at the outcome of these races! These guys even did a little roll racing while they were at it!

  1. Must beat this brand new horse: the owner might be awesome (It's not awesome, it's how it should be, don't get blinded by the "cofee supercar owners") but the car isn't that much. "WHY"? because It's almost a million dollar car and It's been racing with cars 1/10 the price, and 10's in the 1/4 mile isn't that spectacular considering that if it was a camaro or mustang people would be throwing shit at it like the owner would own them money, so: It keeps beeing a bought car and if you're telling me that during that dragstrip races had the fuel consumption that advertised you might have some serious mental problems. Those hybrid toys are overrated, and if brands would really be interested in saving the planet they would spend money on hydrogen systems (wich has been intented 30 years ago, but the engineer that discovered them died "misteriously")

  2. imagine the next generation 918 S it will be too unfair for McLaren even though they asked Porsche to develop them a turbo engine in the 70's ….. read the history how people really forget who they asked for help in the beginning before success starts.
