  3. Huh. The purpose of scrubs is to be something you wear strictly at work for infection control . Many years I had to get to work early enough to change out of my outside clothes and into scrubs that were hospital laundered, then it moved to you had to home launder but carry them in a bag and change. But hey, I only worked in nursing 39yrs and know you can buy scrubs online since everyone from dog groomers up wears scrubs these days.

  6. Thats exactly what I have been doing for 3 decades, every Day, just to protect myself.
    It has worked wonders for me, and I have bought NOTHING but SCRUBS and underwears for 20 years.

    And yeah, people are way nicer to me when I'm in my scrubs sometimes. Luckily I'm a woman and not a man. I don't even want to think how much harder life would be had I been born male. I feel for all of my male family members because of the police.
    Walking while black is a crime made worse if you're male.
    This woman will have no idea how life is as a black person in racist America.

  28. I have heard of a safety blanket keeping people calm but scrubs. This makes me worry even more about my black friends and neighbors. Hopefully one day people can treat each other better.

  36. I’ll always show someone who is becoming a doctor more respect. But it is a shame he feels he NEEDS to wear the scrubs to be treated equally.
