  1. This is bullshit because black people have the same rights as everyone but some people just have to destroy the history and burn down business

  2. This is B.S . I won't pay for it no man today is or was a slave . They are repressed by their own bad decisions .Today every man and woman has the same opportunity to succeed.

  3. I REALLY FEEL THAT ALL THIS THAT IS GOING ON ARE DISTRACTIONS TO KEEP US DISTRACTED FROM WHATS GOI NG ON IN THE WORLD SOMETHING DEEPER AND SPIRITUAL IS HAPPENING LOOK TO GOD FOR INSIGHT HE IS THE ONLY ONE THAT CORRECT ALL WRONGS

  4. If you weren't around or didn't contribute to slavery don't worry about who gets reparations…mind your own business like you've been doing. Don't try to have something to say now that they wanna show black people some love. No need to be all disturbed about it.. JUST KEEP MINDING YOUR OWN BUSINESS.

  5. The City Government didn’t own slaves so how are they deciding your money should go to ppl who were never slaves.? No cash is great. So sad for your past. Go get reparations from those that sold you into slavery.

  6. Where are you getting the money most of those work in hospitality cleaning rooms for 3.50 for each room so you figure up how many rooms you have to clean to make at least 40.00 per day before taxes.

  7. Progress Yes, Reparations.. Lol NO this is NOT REPARATIONS.. so please stop calling it that. "The 'reparations' will NOT provide direct cash payments, as some have suggested, but will provide investments in housing, health care and career growth in Black neighborhoods." Sounds like a road map to gentrification to me. Black people spend 1.2 Trillion Dollars as consumers. This Bill IS NOT Reparations. It is just another Social Program that will boost economics where some of those consumer Tax dollars should have gone in the very first place. I am happy for the People of Ashville, North Carolina who live in 'Black' Neighborhoods but unless they can open THEIR OWN BUSINESSES WITH IT, BUY THEIR OWN PROPERTIES IN WHATEVER NEIGHBORHOOD THEY CHOOSE WITH IT, OR HAVE THE ABILITY TO INVEST WITH IT AS THEY SO CHOOSE, OR GO TO A COLLEGE OR ATTEND A UNIVERSITY OF THEIR CHOICE; THEN PLEASE STOP CALLING THIS BILL REPARATIONS. The 2020 equivalant to 40 Acres and a Mule IS REPARATIONS, period = that equates to at Least $6.4 Trillion Dollars. Just Saying. And btw, not ALL Decendants of African Slaves Live In 'All Black' Neighborhoods. I learned all about the many Reparations the U.S. has bestowed, and even how Sharecropping opportunities benefited those who migrated to America in my Real Estate Studies and African Americans Citizens were the only Ethnic Group who did not recieve Reparations. So PLEASE Stop calling what happening in North Carolina Reparations. Progress? Yes but not Reparations.. It's condescending and it's no more REPARATIONS than Section 8, a Pell Grant, HEAP with a block of GUBMENT CHEESE. In 1988 the GOVERNMENT PAID $20,000. CASH to Japanese Americans. The legislation admitted that government actions were based on "race prejudice, war hysteria, and a failure of political leadership." The U.S. government eventually disbursed more than $1.6 billion (equivalent to $3,460,000,000 in 2019) in reparations to 82,219 Japanese Americans who had been interned and their heirs AND issued a FORMAL APOLOGY. In North Carolina they are 'investing' into THEIR definition of Black Neighborhoods (my question is who stands to gain from the 'investment') money into Black Neighborhoods, ok 👍(but who is the Landlord?? How much will the Government PAY to Investors to PURCHASE IN THOSE ZIPCODES???🤔 In Vegas we call it the HOME IS POSSIBLE program) while I think it's GREAT that North Carolina is FINALLY investing into it's Urban Areas, I do have a huge problem with anyone Black or otherwise using the word; 'Reparations' because it isn't REPARATIONS it's a bandaid but it won't heal. If that particular Bill in place were to be made NATIONAL 'I' (and maybe some of you) as a decendant of African Slaves wouldn't even be eligible for reparations because we may not live/reside in the right Zipcode aka The Hood. If America wants to atone for Slavery by way of REPARATIONS, then just DO THAT. I beguile that WE do not allow the Government to deem accountability and Slavery atonment by way of issuing 'PROGRAMS' many of which has been proven to control and keep Blacks on a cycle of disparages and then insult our intelligence by trying to call it REPARATIONS.

  8. how we been systematically oppressed though economic… says the guy with a gold chain.. this is why Asheville had become a sewer in the past 25 years.

  9. 90% of Americans think this is Bull crap how many people have been passed by for promotion because there white male when we've been more qualified than the person that got the position.

  10. you want reparations? 600,000 white Americans died in order for you to be free. And now whites and Asians are the only racial groups in the US that pay more in taxes then they take in welfare benefits. There's your fucking reparations

  11. I hear what you're attempting to do. I understand, but what's going to happen to other minorities affected by Jim Crow laws and red lining? My father had told me horrific stories he had to endure because he's Hispanic. Jim Crow laws made it okay to include the Spanish and Mexican to be segregated with Blacks. Some were even put into "SERVITUDE" roles just as Blacks.

  12. Look it's simple,, Its not a question of who got hurt or who isn't here. The fact remains that white people are still to this day reaping the rewards of our ancestors "BLOOD, SWEAT AND OMG TEARS" So so many tears!!

  13. You people are CRAZY. Wow. You folks are trying to stoke racial divide, violence. Abc, enemy of LEGAL AMERICANS and white americans also rust belt americans

  14. Get back in the day Eagle Street was where all the people would go and buy their crack. It's no different than the Opium Wars from back in the day you people need to just get a job

  15. Along with reparations there should be a one-way boat trip back to the Homeland so that they could be the kings and queens that they were meant to be

  16. Google the fact America paid slave owners for the loss of slaves, free land for those moving out west. The G.I. bill that many blacks could not use after they made it back from war. It totally blew my mind and the argument against out of the water for me personally.

  17. This is crap!!!!! And none of my state tax money better go to any of these people demanding reparations. Please, give me a break, if they are going to use numbers, what’s a typical white family? What’s a typical black family??? Check the state leadership??? Democrats! And let me tell you, I have lost a chance at a position because I am white!! It went to a black person (less qualified ) simply due to color and they had to meet a “quota”!!!! I want reparations for that!!!!
