Florida is one of a handful of states that have mandated in-person learning in schools this fall. Parents, educators and students talk about balancing the risks as the state fights high transmission.

  1. So what planet are they living on, where kindergartners are the perfect no germ spreaders! Smh! Funny! Peace!

  3. GREAT JOB PARENTS SENDING YOUR KIDS OFF TO SLAUGHTER TO SCHOOL TO GET COVID 19 YOU SHOULD BE PROUD U BELIEVE YOUR SUCH GREAT PARENTS,,, ITS GONNA SUCK SAYING GOOD BYE TO YOUR CHILD WHILE THERE DYEING FACE DOWN DOWN ON A RESPERATOR .

  4. Mann i look back in my memories as a kid in lunch time the teacher would distance the bad kids for there behavior now its because of social DISTANCING

  5. When I was in high school, I remember it slipped out of a teacher's mouth to tell us that the school loses y amount of money every time one student is absent per day, so it's not that the school cares about the students attendance, but the money the school could potentially lose. Although I am not exactly sure how this would affect the government. My kids do online and attendance is still taken online.

  6. Children should be in school. This is good to see. Parent who do not want their kids at school need to keep them home and do virtual classes or homeschool. Those who do want their kids in school need the choice available.

  7. There are 3 ways to learn… Learn by READING, learn by WATCHING and LISTENING to others, and learn by PEEING ON THE ELECTRIC FENCE. Sending children back to the classroom is ignoring the first two methods, and forcing the latter. This is NOT wise!!! Let's teach some WISDOM!!! 🤦

  8. Despite many people disagreeing in the comments Id like to voice my perspective.

Im fortunate enough to live in a state where the numbers are low and therefore school is reopening full time. This will chanfe if the numbers rise. The reason we are goin back is there are quite a few kids with learning disabilities that NEED to be in a school setting or else they flunk. The rest of the smart kids are doing their school remotely, but those who need to work one on one with teachers are able to do so.

Please remember remote learning is not for everyone, and if their grades dont look good doing remote learning they sre going to want to go back to school for the sake of their future careers.

  9. Children need to go back to school. People take a risk when they get into a car. I feel grateful for teachers who are there for the kids. I am not surprised she is a cancer survivor. It is the survivors that are going to suit up and show up. For the rest of them, turn your fear into concern. Children do not need teachers or governments who are stuck in fear. Virtual until November?! That is wrong, and this is not about the economy, either!

  11. Schools are not safe for children and staff I'm a teachers assistant to open, this virus is a killer, I'm dont want to lose my job, my grandson will not be going back he was born a micropremie and has a low resistance, and fever seizures. I'm getting alot of anxiety over this.

  12. Democrats are still playing the fake coronavirus game we're on these the bulshit We Know Better. More kids have died from the flu since January 188 barely Thirty have died from the Coronavirus you're going to have to do better than this you guys are pathetic

  13. Florida teachers cannot strike. Our "union" is an association. Our district/county has lower numbers of spread. Our district has options for learners. I just feel the district should have extended the choice to teachers in a more similar fashion as students.

  14. Blame it on Trump, his the one that is treating to take school funds if they don’t reopen. This world is out of control 🤦‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️
