Cornbread Camaro BAD WRECK vs. Kye Kelley

A terrible sight seeing one of our good friends in the no prep grudge racing world flip his Nitrous Camaro multiple times totaling the car at the Redemption 4.0 No Prep race at Kennedale TX Texas Raceway this weekend. As you can see he gave Kye a run for his money until about 300 feet out where he lost traction. His strong chance to win against the Big Block Nitrous SHOCKER Camaro from Mississippi got the best of him and he got back in it, losing traction much worse the second time sending him towards the wall. When he corrected to keep it out of the wall it sent the car into a slide catching the tire just wrong, and his car flipped multiple times.

We’re glad to report that Spencer is perfectly fine and was instantly out of the car walking around with no injuries. We hope to see him out again soon. He told us that he had recently picked up a new car to build, we hope we’ll see him very soon racing again!

  1. There's another video of this crash on a different channel & many haters blaming Kye for 'screwing around' too long in the staging, allowing Cornbread/Spencer's tires to cool off! Not with a beautiful launch like that! Straight off the line!
The 1st Gen Camaros, with that damned Uni-body were a bitch to get off the line without twisting the frame! I know, I had one, '68 SS. Took a BUNCH of 1978 'Gerryrigging' to get it off the line straight from A-B. Thanks for a more positive, yet still sad, video 1320video! You guys Rock!

  2. If these guys would race the round track for 2 or 3 years they could drive and not wreck like this when the back end gets a little loose…

  3. glad he had a parachute……..a pro would have pulled it instantly when that back end went left. There is no "saving it to finish" with these beasts. Once the run goes a little off……….end it, and save your car.

  4. Wish monkeys in the tow truck knew how to operate the equipment. It would have been drivable… Whe you roll a vehicle and it wants to land on the rubber where it belongs, don't stop it. The suspension is designed to be on the ground, not the side panels…

  5. that's one bad ass camaro.hey man least u walked away with no scratches. u can replace a motor trans/parts.but not your life

  6. I'm very glad Spencer was not hurt physically. The emotional pain from something like this can be severe, and the fix seems to be, get a new car to work on asap. With the car being setup for drag racing, it's not going to handle that well, but he did an excellent job trying to save it. Over the years I have said to myself, " I think I could have saved that car", but after really paying attention, and asking a few questions, and just being around after one of these, and hearing what everyone has to say, I now realize these guys are all excellent drivers, and if anything could be done to save it, it would have happened. I don't have a car anymore, and I would like to thank those who still do, and who race them on a simi regular basis. The big dogs are fun to watch with their hundreds of thousands to spend. My heart is with the guy who puts his car together with the help of a few friends, and goes out and races. It's still the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

  7. 100% Driver FAIL. You gotta know when to lift or this is exactly what happens. He probably still could have saved it if he had pull the chute…
