  1. I think those who should get reparations have died how about getting work hell and all so im 4th generation so guess what none of my ancestor dream new album anyway near when the Civil Wars happen nor owned when there where slaves

  2. an idiot! where is the money coming from? another hand out. time to sell my property! Mayor you're delusional, dumb and pandering to bullshit! Running for higher office soon?

  3. This opens up a can of worms. Atrocities have been committed against people since the beginning of time. Politicians cannot choose who gets reparations and who doesn't for sins of the past that have nothing to do with us. Everyone has hurt everyone including Africans enslavling Europeans.

  4. This is pathetic and it makes me sick. Slavery was abolished more than a century and a half ago because of our brave Union soldiers. More than 2,000,000 men (black and white) enlisted in the Union Army. They fought, they suffered, and they gave their lives to end slavery in this country. What an insult and slap in the face this is to them.

  5. Most likely just a ploy to get black support. It's probably going to end up being something that's labeled "reparations" but is not really reparations. Sort of like how Asheville did a week or two ago.

  6. Lets give people money based on the color of the skin. If you’re a certain race, you get nothing. But if you’re a certain race, you get something… Regardless that none of us have been slaves…
