  1. "It's where he displayed a style all his own: self-deprecating, cheeky, brash , but never petty."

Can't say the same about Jimmy Kimmel, or Stephen Colbert. Johnny Carson and Regis Philbin were class acts. Jay Leno and David Letterman did well to represent the next generation. This current crop of hosts, however, are just the opposite. They are never self-deprecating, always maliciously attacking others, irreverent but not in an endearing way, arrogant, hypocritical, hyper-partisan (souring half their viewers), and always petty, with total disdain for anyone who doesn't share their opinions. You hosts have dropped the ball, scornfully chucked the torch, gave the middle finger to late-night traditions of being affable and non-partisan, poured gasoline onto the forest fire by politicizing late night to an extreme degree like never before, and arrogantly say you'd change nothing and do it all over again the same way. Stephen Colbert was hired from the left-leaning Comedy Central's the Daily Show/the Colbert Report. He promised to leave behind his Colbert Report politically-themed humor when hired to succeed David Letterman on CBS Late Show. He has broken that promise. Every monologue is a humorless political nightly tirade filled with rancor, malice, and unadulterated hostility instead of actual funny jokes. The late shows are used like nightly personal therapy for the hosts to release their personally distressing political diarrhea.

You could have risen to the occasion and could have taken the high road, become a class act like Regis Philbin or Johnny Carson, or mature and elevate yourself to an even higher standard, thereby paying homage to the late show legends. You could have won the hearts and minds of an even bigger, broader audience. What a wasted opportunity.

  2. Thank you for keeping us laughing!! No matter the mood I was in, watching you always put me in a lighter mood with a grin on my face!!! I will and have missed you πŸ™πŸ»

  3. God bless this man…loveeeeee him..❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️❀️

  4. The moment the news broke about him, my game show heart had shattered. I'll never watch "MILLIONAIRE" the same way ever, without thinking of him. He made that show what it was for America to see, back in the day. Even he was the first host, internationally to say that our first contestant has "won $1 MILLION!". He'll be missed by all of us game show and daytime TV fans- those who like to wake up with Regis and Kathie Lee/Kelly. Reegmaster, love you, man. Tell my grandmother hello- she always liked to turn the TV to you in the mornings.

  5. Shame on you ABC News for showing 2 stories on Regis with a quick blurb on John Lewis in between. In these times of BLM you should have shown his story 1st. NBC News got it right, why not you?

  6. I’m glad he didn’t die from Coronavirus! He’ll forever be missed and never forgotten and always remembered I watched both live with Regis and Kathie Lee & Live With Regis and Kelly he always had a way with words and he always made the home viewers smile and laugh! My thoughts and prayers and condolences will forever be with Joy and his kids and grandkids and his family and friends and fans and everyone who knew and loved him! Rest In Peace Regis πŸ’”πŸ˜πŸ˜’πŸ’”

  7. Lucky guy, he got to avoid seeing the country fall in the upcoming Civil War. Marxists will kill way more than Covid could ever dream of.

  8. The US's last year, 88. It isn't only the number of tRump's name, It's or AGE. July 4th the US turned 244. 2×44 is 88. Like the 88 lights marking the WRC. By October you yourself and everyone on the globe will know the show is over. If you wont believe ME, TEXT tRUMP @ 88022.

  9. Ephesians 2:8-9

8 For by God's grace are we saved through faith; not by works, (or being a firefighter or law enforcement or a hero or a marine or a veteran or actor or puppeteer or News reporter/anchor or a soul singer or killed by a terrorist or a sports hero or a fashion designer or a rock star or body builder or a writer or cooking show host or walk into a room and lite up a room with their smile or a pioneer or a super pop star or bounty hunter or race car driver or football coach or country music singer or basketball star or being modest or a Disney star actor or making people laugh or making people happy or a war hero or dying for your country or never killing anyone) 9 it is the free gift of God, not that anyone can boast of their salvation." Eternity will not be about any of us or what we have done. It will all be about Jesus Christ who died on a cross to save us from our sins. We all deserve hell and then the Lake of Fire that burns with sulphur and fire on Judgement day.

1 John 2:15-17 New Living Translation

15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

    **James 4:4 New Living Translation

4 You adulterers! Don’t you realize that friendship with the world makes you an enemy of God? I say it again: If you want to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God."
