  1. Dont think its a good idea to return to reg. School. Its not time. Recapacitate. . dont. Risk lives…care for kids they innocent…. Specially kids that are like kindergarden. . in speacial ed……they need to understand whats going on if they see different at school . so. Do the right thing learn at home @ work at home its not supposely difficult as people see it……… .its for everyone. Good….

  2. Homeschool is # 1…. @ i hope its not a problem after all . that u say to stay home @ then u change your mind…homeschool is best to the kids dont get risk or get on danger now that the pandemic its getting worst . even that they wont bring from the reg. School to they could get it to the families. That are in the 3rd age. And sick. The people have to think kids 1st. Other dont matter that much. Health are very important in life……..people who want to work @ earn @ they could do it like now by computer or so….if u can find something u. Not interested . look for something that u could handle @ wait till this go away if it get worst @ never go back to work well u have to handle it cause kids 1st. …the pandemic its getting worst every day we as parents have to protect are children. Take care of them . dont put them at risk u have to be parents 1st…….so homeschool all the way i now that soon that we think it change everything but in reality if it dont we have to handle the situation of protecting not risking ok…i as parent dont mind homeschool . i know i dont. Put my child on risk or danger or my family to get it. …. 💘 our children please..think dont mess up……..its not worth it…. The children count…

  3. It’s 10th day and no results back from tests for Covid19 for my family. How the labs will keep up with testing when schools get open? Florida is unprepared and government blindly moves forward.

  4. I don't think schools or any large gatherings indoors is the smart way to stamp out the virus, but at least he is giving us a choice so my child will be learning from home. Sad if kids go and get used as guinea pigs while the virus is spreading like wild fire.

  5. Just plan STUPIDITY, not Risking my grandchildren, fool says if one child in a class get covid they can handle it..What A Fool…..

  6. Yes. All kids need to stay home. Their parents need to raise, teach and feed them . No. There won’t be unemployment or free food. But kids lives matter. It’s going to be tough on single moms. But they will just have to step it up . Good luck 👍

  7. Does the school system not have resources that will allow those students or teachers to remain virtual if they don't feel safe?

  8. Please stop this non sense you digital teaching …that building will be there…now all sudden it’s so damn important to have your at risk…let them learn in 100% safe environment

  9. I think republicans should lead this charge and Florida is a great place to start. We’ll see how it works out for you and go from there.

  10. “Looks like by April, you know, in theory, when it gets a little warmer, it miraculously goes away. I hope that’s true. But we’re doing great in our country.” – King Flu 🤧

  11. The chaos of starting schools up then having to close down mid-semester will cause more disruption for learners and teachers than making the decision to delay opening. This is irresponsible and frankly incomprehensible. What is so difficult for conservatives to understand about the nature of this pandemic? Or to even admit there is a problem! How could they become so blindly partisan as to deny reality and put children and their families at risk? And for Trump???? What a pathetic thing the Republican Party has become and America in general for not having better candidates than the two presently on offer. As an ex-pat watching from overseas for the last ten years it's becoming clear that the age of the USA as a world player is over.

  12. Florida schools have no choice, an emergency order by Good ole Ron stated that all schools must offer brick and mortar 5 days a week to all students starting in August.

  13. It seems that no official in Florida at all is taking coronavirus seriously. They have one of the highest rates of infection in the nation right now. They shouldn’t even be talking about going back to school right now. His claim that he can do it safely is ridiculous. He is making promises that he can’t keep.

  14. I like the choice idea. Some kids live with grandparents/older parents or are immunocompromised and shouldn’t attend school, while some people don’t have the means for at-home learning. Plus, that’s less staff in schools. Those who are high risk can work from home or something. I don’t hate it 🤷‍♀️ It would still be safer to have staff tested every 2 weeks.

(I do think there will be an outbreak in a school/schools and it’ll lead to closing them, but let people make their own decisions until then I guess, so at least children from a lower socioeconomic status have the opportunity to learn even if they don’t have internet access.)

(Btw, no, I will not be sending mine. I’m only defending this because at least they are giving an online option. If people want to follow Trump over science, and put their children in danger.. that’s terrible, but I have my own kids to worry about.)

  15. Seriously….is there anyone who thinks this virus will " vanish" by school openings in August? I don't…and I'm not willing to risk children to test it.

  16. There is no safe manner when people are close to one another; when allergies kick in; when students have to eat and drink in close vicinity.
