Lady Antebellum should change their name to Lady Bell ( intentionally sounding like Liberty Bell) Lady as in the former name and Bell in recognition of music and together liberate their message.
At this point I think BOTH Lady A's need to rebrand and change up with new names. BOTH. Because the name is now forever tainted with this controversy. To me the name Lady A has too much baggage now and is marketing poison.

I have never heard of Lady A, (Anita) until today. Found her music, she has been around for a long time so she should get to keep her name. She made an image for herself.
I also did not know what antebellum stood for until today. Why would a group want such a racist name? That was their 1st wrong. They should of never had decided on that for a name. That was just stupid of them. Now to sue the Real Lady A, a black woman, is their 2nd mistake. Time to do away with lady antebellum all together.
Why didn't she put up a fight when they legally trademarked the name in 2010? If the "Lady A" name is so important to her shouldn't she have legally made it hers long before the group Lady A got legal rights to it? Everyone is coming down on the group when all they're asking for is that a judge confirm that they have the right to use the name as well. This wouldn't have even gone to court if she hadn't demanded $10,000,000.00 for the rights to the name that was never legally hers to start with. Look at it without the black vs white aspect and you'll see the group has done nothing wrong here and shouldn't have to pay the singer a dime to use the same name that they already trademarked.

was I the only one who heard that Lady Antebellum, purchased the rights for Lady A 10 years ago? in that sense they have been owning it for the past 10 years. It's a shame the real lady A did not bother to obtain the legal rights to her stage name and if that is the case then Lady Antebellum owns it and can do what they please with it.
