  1. We will truly miss Hugh Downs. He retired in 2007, but you tend to become accustomed to always seeing a television personality on your living room TV practically every night. Rest in peace, Mr Downs.

  2. The most patriotic thing you can do this 4th of July is to wear masks
    when in public and stay home as much as possible. Please protect the
    Americans around you! That is patriotism! America needs every day Covid
    Heroes, people just like you! People who wear masks, who stay at home as
    much as possible and people who follow science based guidelines from
    the CDC and doctors. What better way to celebrate the 4th of July than
    to save American lives? If you social distance, wear masks, and stay
    home that is exactly what you will be doing.

    He will always be on my mind sonce watching 20/20

    I will remember him as one of the best journalist in the last 100 years

    Sad to say no one on current tv comes close to him

  4. He was a Honest news man. one of the best. He lived almost 100 years. That is a great example that being a star. You can be a example to all that you are a real person with morals and values. Married 79 yrs. A True American we all can look up too. Thank you Mr. Downs you will be missed. RIP
