In response to Uncle Roger, aka Nigel Ng calling westerners "weak"…. You should come to Taiwan and see their western and Chinese medicine clinics full of long queues everyday BEFORE THE VIRUS. they use Chinese medicine when they are healthy to balance yin Yang to prevent sick, but they still fall sick and queue at Western medicine clinics, including ENT, ear nose and throat, specialists everyday!! It isn't a huge surprise that Taiwan has higher than global average covid death rate ONLY THREE WEEKS INTO LOCAL CONTAGION!!! What do you expect when you wear jackets and full battle armour from young from 15 to 35 Celsius!!!??

I was a 2x pnuemonia sufferer (NO SARS, NO COVID times), because Chinese elders closed all windows in the house and a little bit of wind and rain will make me have respiratory tract infections, and super high fever. It is only after we went Europe, we see westerners never so ultra defensive, we adopted their lifestyles and our immunity became stronger!! Hallelujah!

Wake up lah, Nigel Ng. We are Chinese ourselves. Do you know what is meaning of weak?? Westerners do have food allergies that Chinese do not have, eg. Peanuts and you immediately call them weak. AWe sincerely think you do not know your own Chinese race well. Chinese are well known to be lactose intolerant , much more than Westerners.
You cannot say the Westerners are weak, based on food allergies as food allergies will really immediately trigger off anaphylaxis, life threatening. " Weak" is something you preempt some bad effects to your physical body decades ahead, and want to prevent it from happening. "Weak" is definitely not you eat it now and it triggers an immediate physical body response. To be born with food allergies is definitely not a symbol of "weakness", but to have a "weak" mind is to be over defensive and over worry over something that MIGHT harm the body decades after!!
Scandinavian countries teach their kids from young to build resistance to cold and build immunity, look at Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden super low covid death rate!!! So what if they are allergic to some foods, "weak"!??? All Scandinavian countries covid death rate 0.6 to 1.4%!
Now look at China covid death rate at 5% and another China, R.O.C , three weeks into local community contagion, already 2.5% covid death rate!
You should come to Taiwan and see how super weak they really are. Taiwanese use traditional Chinese medicine to balance yin yang when they are healthy and avoid so many things in life, wind, sun, uv radiation, cold at 25 Celsius?,sugar, carbohydrates, cream, cheese and yet their covid death rate is so high. You cannot say Taiwan has a higher ageing population, hello, you must remember, Taiwan elders are never as obese, fat as their western counterpart. Plus Taiwan elders use Chinese medicine to balance yin yang which Western elders did not do.
In the end, do so much, and yet Taiwan covid death rate is higher than global average, higher than "junk food " America, higher than THE LAST TO WEAR MASKS Scandinavian countries.
I am not for nor against masks. But mask wearing is just a tiny aspect of overall culture of that continent. As Scandinavian countries teach their kids to be strong from cold to built immunity from young, British parents looked up to them. So, any prizes for guessing why Scandinavian countries are last to wear masks??? East Asia does have a culture of avoidance in place BEFORE COVID. Taiwan has been wearing masks for sixteen years for a nine months SARS virus, WHO ARE THE REALLY WEAK ONES??? Every country has bad and good parts because the majority does not want to change the bad part of each culture. Taiwan is sooo good at "covid prevention" is because of their ALREADY in place culture of avoidance.They wear masks for 16 years for a nine months SARS virus, responsible??? More like PTSD. See my blog for photos as evidence. Taiwan also cannot change her own bad points in her culture, high accidents death rate in developed countries standards. Just look at most recent Taiwan train accident that caused 50 deaths. It is a VEHICLE ACCIDENT that caused train to derail.
West upbringing does not teach kids to place excess mental stress to achieve physical body zero damage, 身體零負擔。 But east Asia now and last time singapore (China grandparents), before WESTERNIZED, like to avoid anything, wind, drizzle, sugar, cream, fats, uv radiation,dirt, bacteria/virus, zero body contact culture, zero face hair as face hair seen as dirty, to achieve physical body zero stress, but willing to have high levels of mental stress. For example, Asian parents will scold and beat children unnecessarily for small things like jackets drop on ground. ‘Face crime’ was written of in George Orwell’s book ‘1984’. Face crime is now here. The mask is a symbol of shame, subjugation, and suppression. From 2020 onward, we have seen freedoms that we have taken for granted stamped on and it has happened so quickly.
We are witnessing an attack on our fundamental rights under the pretext that it’s all for the common good.
