15 giant tortoises who lived in captivity for decades while in a repopulation program were released into the wild in the Galapagos Islands after the program’s success.

  2. That one elderly Galapagos tortoise who single handedly saved his species? They say nothing on that. He was one of 2 males with 15 females. He fathered hundreds and hundreds of chillins.

  3. I know this is a happy time for the Sea Turle thank goodness.. But I wish they never had to go through what they did.. I'm 53 years old and it just brought me to TEARS🥺😭😢😢💯💯

  4. So sad. They used there bodies for years!!!! Put something on there backs probably to mark them, or trace them. Now releasing them again. People are adaptable but are wild animals that adaptable? Not sure on that one.
