That has got to be the dumbest thing in 2020 so far. How would taking funding away do anything but cause WAR. These RIOTS&others like them SHOW people cannot be smart & keep things safe. You want to make a difference then help get funding for local programs for kids in need. Give help to your neighbors by keeping drugs & violence out. Get your local community together & work WITH the police. Help kids in these communities get involved with making life better. Education programs to get them into politics, teaching, other careers. Show them why education is going to help the most. There are so many ways to raise money to do this. Churches each area can pay "taxes" but all money goes to schools in need. Ask why head teachers/deans need MILLION DOLLAR BONUS/PAY. Why do state charge more if you don't live in that state. GO TO YOUR TOWN MEETINGS, USE YOUR VOICE, VOTE. Yet what i find so interesting NO ONE CARED ABOUT THESE MEETINGS, WHERE WE ALL THESE VOICES last year, 2,3,4,5 years ago. Where is the hard work to make changes. Taking away the one thing that keeps people from going 100% nut is so wrong. EVERY SINGLE RACE GENDER & CAREER ALL HAVE REALLY BAD PEOPLE. They have racist, rapist & killers. Yet you still go to the doctors. You still send your kids to school. You TRUST these people REGARDLESS OF THE FEW BAD ONES. Because we all KNOW that it's NOT RACE, GENDER OR CAREER THAT IS BAD IT'S THE PERSON USING THOSE AS WEAPONS/SHIELDS TO HIDE BEHIND. What happened to MR.FLOYD was WRONG. It was MURDER. But to BLAME AN ENTIRE GROUP BECAUSE OF A FEW BAD ONES IS NOT ONLY WRONG. IT'S WHAT YOUR TRYING TO CHANGE. How people treat an entire group of people based on a few bad ones. My family & like 1000's of others had someone migrate over from a different countries. 80 plus years ago my great grandpa & great great grandparents did. They did things that no person should ever do to survive. As did my other ancestors. Their story is theirs and theirs alone Their pain and triumphs their win their losses. They DID EVERYTHING THEY DID SO THEIR KIDS COULD HAVE A BETTER LIFE. Each generation doing a little better than the one before. Each generation learning from the ones before & doing things differently for themselves to pass on. But NEVER did i look back on THEIR life & blame anyone. 80 years from now i can only hope that the story they hear about. My story will help them be more & work for more. Love more. I can only hope that race will NEVER be an issue. After all it's the human race. I can only hope that WE GIVE THEM A CHANCE AT A FUTURE. Not one of hate, blame or war. But one of peace & togetherness. One where they can stand side by side knowing that all that matters is doing your best. A future that us not war, hate, killing. One that knows that we will not stand for hate, racism bullying, murders. I can only hope they will not know what hunger is, what being so cold you don't think you will ever be warm again is. They won't know our pain. I CAN ONLY HOPE OUR STORY WILL BE THE ONE THAT CHANGED IT ALL FOR THE BETTER. THE STORY THAT BROUGHT THE WORLD TOGETHER. I CAN ONLY HOPE.

No one is going to defund the police because it's not a real argument. Too many people have skin in the 'broken criminal justice system.' Judges, prosecutors, lawyers, and politicians benefit from the broken system. Focusing on the police distracts us from the actual criminals.
