  1. Same for Hawaii, we need to be firm with the tourist and say not right now; please wait. My family works in the hotel industry and tourism is our economy, but our health is more important atm.

  2. I agree. Having been there and an uninformed tourist (USA) I wish I had known better. we stayed only for a day and had lunch, dinner, toured the Murano museum and spent a large amount on a beautiful piece of art. But sadly unaware of the controversies. 5 years ago. We arrived by train while touring the entire country.

  3. This world is over populated and this is why it's crumbling before our eyes. Plagues and unrestts every where. Everybody is out protesting if they aren't hospitalized alerady with covid-19. Many businesses and individuals went bankrupt. More westerners will turn to drug. The western world will look very much like either Honduras or South Africa. The collaspe of the west is no avoidable.

  4. That's an outrageous amount of tourists. The citizens of Venice have the right to quiet and peaceful enjoyment of their home. Also, many tourists to Venice are I'll mannered, rude and disrespectful. I hope they succeed in their protests.

  5. the cruise ships have got to go. somebody got paid off big time.
they ruin a very fragile beautiful environment

  6. Always nice to see a peaceful protest. Just don’t know how to feel though when they’re protesting for responsible tourism but they’re standing right next to each other like nothings going on

  7. the pathetic story of John Bolton: – Begs for WH job – Pushes for endless wars (Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq) – Trump refused – Gets fired – Immediately sells cry-baby book about getting fired – Leaks book to NYT to boost sales – Contents of book never happened – Only swamp cares

  8. I live in a tourism town, too. Santa Barbara. Between tourism and all the colleges here, we usually have a huge influx of temporary people wandering around.

  9. The lockdown was a good time for any regulations or fixes that needed some downtime to be put in place. If there's another wave that floods the hospitals, make better use of another lockdown if it comes.
