A cop fearing for they're safety should no longer be valid. Police should be required to put the safety of the American citizens they protect and serve first! Question: Why are these police agencies release self incriminating footage all of a sudden? Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they did but what's their motivation? I mean burying them with no receipts seems more logical to me from their perspective, even if found years later it would probably be no worse than now. Am I missing something here? The policeman that said "I don't care!" in response to his victim saying "I can't breathe" is a prime example of the worst kind of human being, much less police officer. Someone with the capacity to say such a thing should never be allowed in any kind of powerful position, especially not one that affords the ability to commit murder with impunity. Anyone who wants to be a police officer should have to pass rigorous mental health testing before even being considered! Police officers should be held even more accountable than a civilian for breaking the law, and when they do they should be immediately charged and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This country needs major police reform immediately. Defund the police and invest that money into community programs immediately.
No one ever wants to talk about the fact of what most likely transpired before all these videos take place (unless seen for A FACT on a police cam or someone who happens to be there right as the police show up). It’s unbelievable what the media wants to portray to divide our country. When a police officer gives a command doing their job why not just stop and obey the command instead of resisting arrest? It never needs to get to this point but only does when then suspect is RESISTING ARREST!? Why doesn’t anyone say hey maybe just comply for a few min let the police do their job and then go on your way? What happend to George Floyd was absolutely wrong and it was murder, but now the media tailgating videos to portray police poorly is not right. It would be like showing only people looting buildings and saying every protest has NOT been peaceful and that all protests are out of control an cause riots. As for defunding. Why? How about allocating that budget to better training and techniques instead of defunding and moving elsewhere. Back to the original point it never needs to get to this point unless someone is resisting arrest initially. Also take a look at the statistics of 2019 that show how many cops have killed white vs black unarmed and armed, and why hasn’t anyone talked about the officer who was shot point blank in the back of the head for NOTHING? A lot of agenda here from the media to persuade the lazy people who comment without being informed on anything. Please go educate yourself on the FACTS first.
