    government has been trying to get laws passed on police reform, even
    before these incidents and protests. So what good do the protests do? Now if the
    government finally votes in reforms, it'll look like they caved into
    terrorists in a hijacking. They might have done it anyway, had there
    been massive email protests, etc. instead of street protests.
