7. You equate expensive = quality or tastes good (that steak house fiasco also). That said, you are a SUCKER. If you don't know what type of food to try (for a newbie), ask the waiter for some ideas, and tell them what you like to eat, they'll give you a few choices. Often times, the best menu items aren't the most expensive, it's mid-priced, since that's what most people can afford or feel they got value (also, you can ask what's the most popular dish at the restaurant). Another source is Yelp, but that's more random.
