I’m getting really fucking sick of the media, celebrities, wealthy people, companies and commercials telling me how thankful they are for me. “Stepped up”? I’m a gas station worker. Without us, people literally can’t go anywhere. We “stepped up”? No, we just have things we need to pay for, I have things I want to buy so I can progress in life, I. E. a car, a new place, etc. I didn’t step up to anything. I continued doing what I have to do.
Oh and the “Thanks for risking your life” raise was only $2. Never saw a pay raise or promotion for my hard work, my achievements or my excellent customer service. Nope instead I get flung out on the front lines, thrown a couple extra coins, and told that I’m a hero. Cool. Thanks. Feels amazing
