    Conclusion: “It would appear that minimum contamination can best be
    achieved by not wearing a mask at all” and that wearing a mask during
    surgery “is a standard procedure that could be abandoned.”

    Masks
    are useless in preventing the spread of disease and, if anything, are
    unsanitary objects that themselves spread bacteria and viruses. Masks
    get touched regularly, sneezed in, coughed in, and hold moisture thus
    creating unnecessary contamination.

  8. What does US news media conflate Brazil and Mexico? Sensationalism? Xenophobia? Mexico is doing much better than the States. Outside of Mexico City, the coronavirus growth is very small. Jalisco, a state with a population twice that of Connecticut has only 80 deaths. The governor has issued very strict rules and most of the population are following guidelines. Mexico City has seen a greater number of infections and deaths, but as a megalopolis, it is much more comparable to New York City than anywhere else.

  25. I live in Patzcuaro, in the State of Michoacán in the mountains of central Mexico. I have lived here for 8 years now. I love it here! best climate, friendly people and very inexpensive! However, the people here have a bit of a skeptical outlook, many believe the virus is a government plot! Many indigenous people The Purepecha, have their own beliefs. They just reopened the central area and even before, many people walked around the town with no protection. It worries me
