A Pakistani Airlines passenger jet has crashed near the Karachi Airport Friday.

All 91 passengers and seven crew members on board are feared dead, a PIA official told ABC News.

The Airbus 320 was traveling from Lahore to Karachi when it crashed. The aircraft appears to have gone down in a residential neighborhood.

  5. The ram air turbine (RAT), was deployed which indicates both engines were severely damaged and eventually failed after initial touchdown without gear deployed. This turbine is automatically deployed when engine failure is detected and supplies the aircraft with electric. The landing gear alarm could be heard during communication. They should have aborted and hit the repair cycle (2 minutes) and if necessary use the hand crank located between the pilots in center console. Upon second ils approach attempt, they lost all power and subsequently crashed.
