No tourists were in sight as the city of Venice began reopening its shops and restaurants and gondoliers and water taxis were back to work.

So much mindless graffiti defacing almost every surface in Venice. It is a shame that both the residents and the City government have so little civic pride and do nothing to clean it up or prevent it.
Rip tourist industry in italy till 2022
It is crazy how some people are so reluctant to die for no reason.
oh nooooo~~not yet~~~
This is the problem! They have no respect for the environment! It's all about the$$$😬👎
Ofcourse no tourist came due of the lockdown restrictions only within the region you lived in.
If were lucky ot more discipline rather, we may see forigners flocking in this coming months but for right now there is no directives from the italian prime minister.
Stay safe and light one for peace❤
In 2007 my wife and I were in Venice and we lived next to the canals we also went in the gondola the water was very very polluted because of water traffic, let's hope that it doesn't return to that.
Goodbye clean water and beautiful animals. ☹️
Back to polluting the water 😔
Is sad that the canals will become dirty again; it looked nice with the soot settled 😕
Now that’s a picture no one could have dreamed of.
