I have severe non-remission ulcerative colitis-like crohns disease (i have the symptoms of both diseases).i also have no thyroid. A caring, hard working nurse is the most important factor to my hospital stays and recovery. They make sure I receive my pain meds on time. And also vouch for me to the ultrabusy, usually uncaring hospitalists that's me as just a black drug addict and not a dying mother who is in excruciating pain and a member of a pain clinic- not an addict. The nurses make sure the Drs dont kill us with negligence. There are some good hospitalists, though, but they are few between
