My opinion, i am allowed to express it! I personally think an injustice is being done to the whole drag week concept. If it doesn't have a vin its not a street car. If you are going to call a purpose built drag car a street car, then what's next? BUGGAR off

sometimes. A lot of fast drag cars use what are called air shifted transmissions, as well as powerglide transmissions. Air shifted trans are manually shifted without a clutch pedal and powerglides are more like automatics.
anything more than 25 years old is exempt from emissions. You can tag and insure a power wheels in some states, as long as it has a title.

alot of them will own custom shops / fabricators / garages and use the cars as a kind of showcase.

All the cars in Drag Week have to be street legal. Plates, registration, turn signals, lights. But I was wondering the same thing. Are they driving around on slicks? And how do you register a tube chassis, fibreglass body drag car and get it to pass emissions?
Do you know what these guys do for a living to afford this?
First of all, i'm from Europe, so I don't know anything about American law.
But my question, I saw some of them dragsters with a license plate. Is it allowed to drive them on the road on a daily basis?!
