It could have been. There were 3000 deaths in the US the day Fauci dismissed the treatment as "unproven" and began his public campaign obstructing its use that continues today. He set us off on this miserable course that has already exceeded 200,000 Covid-19 deaths. The final statistics by the inventor of the protocol he discredited was only 2 deaths in 2200 patients treated, a cure rate of 99.97%, mortality rate of 0.03%. The day in March when Fauci began his war in HCQ we had only 3000 US deaths.
