  1. My WRX is faster 0-60 and in the 1/4 mile than most everything out there under $100K. Not because of raw horse power but because of the 4 wheel drive set-up. It's virtually impossible to spin the tires. I don't understand why this isn't being used in drag racing cars. Is it illegal or something?

  2. For any person out there who loves vans check out Dave Jarvis. He runs a business called Jarvis Performance and he built a pretty sweet race van and he's a crazy mofo.

  3. guy 100lbs boost on not even close bto half the size of motor is pretty good,I don't know why the v8 guys see a 5 second car and then think all v8's are automatically faster because of that????   ecotec just ran a 6'43 1/4 4cyl these guys got 5 6 hundred cb inch motors not even running that fast  4g63 runs 6;50s 1/4

  4. How long does it take you stupid people people to realize that once money is involved, its no longer this brand vs that brand. money=speed. The more money you have the faster you can go.

  5. I love my imports but I hate it when people complain and say what if. The 2jz isn't a v8 so it doesn't matter what you say, just excuses. The 1600 hp supras motor blew after it's first run. What impresses me are these Hondas pulling 9s, that's crazy and awesome for a 4cyl. Now I love my muscle cars as well but they're so unreliable as a daily but built, they are indestructible. Same goes with imports I suppose but still. Leave the v8s to the domestics because it's on point.

  6. To all you Import drivers talkin' smack, drive your cars to Drag Week this year and beat these guys. Just remember, you'll have to drive it to a bunch more tracks and be able to do it again and again. GOOD LUCK !!!!

  7. I have more respect for cars like the crusty Nova than these purpose-built fiberglass/carbon-fiber street legal pro-stock cars.  For example: Larry Larson.  Runs high 6's, built from a stock Nova, doesn't tow a trailer full of parts.

  8. I totally agree with davon Joseph 2jz make a lot of up hp for a little 3 liter but if it was v8 it would be smoking every muscle car in the track

  9. Davon Joseph: Look up "1600+whp 2JZ" the first sentence of the video description is "The head lifted after this pull." That's why I hate little japanese engines; there are street legal American V8's like the ones in this video making over 2,500hp, reliable enough drive cross country and run 6's all day long! Hell, the heads don't even lift on 8,000hp top fuel dragsters!

  10. Some people are just so hard headed and don't realize things. Yea these big block motor's will make more power than a 2jz, but what most of you people don't realize is that a Supra is a little 3.0-3.4 at max, and still manage to run 6.12, at 2100RWHP, A 6 CYLINDER! These people with the v8's have these huge motors. You guys are comparing a 3.0 to like a 8.0-10.0. So imagine if there was a V8 version of a 2j. It would eat you guys up ALL DAY like its nothing.

  11. Oh yeah let's not forget, Larson drives his nova to work every day. A great person once said" a real car doesn't make power at the front wheels, we lift them"
