  1. Im a 36, single mom of three. I will have my Bachelors in the fall of 2020, if it were not for online courses, my college goals would have not been possible. I am so thankful that my state college offers online programs, I wish more colleges offered more online courses.

  2. look at the BLS figures, college definitely definitely definitely pays off!! just make sure you dont get an underwater basket weaving degree..or something about feminist dance theory

  3. Right now colleges are giving a lot of money to keep students in. Don’t give up on college plans without thinking it through in terms of financials. You won’t pay for housing fees. A UC costs $14,000 to attend but I will have $2000 paid so for me it makes sense to still go. It may not for u, but next year it will definitely by more competitive due to students taking leap years. Less $ will be available.

  4. Online college is not worth 30k per year. College is inherently a social experience! Take time off and figure out what you actually want to do and how to get there and you might figure out you never needed it at all.

  5. Jesus some people are so bitter on here about how much they hate college…can't people just do what they want? Not everyone goes to college to get super rich, also it's not a competition. People go to college to get an education and get a degree for a job they want in the future. For many many companies, it doesn't always matter what you have your degree in, they look for IF you have a degree. Continuing your education past high school for some employers is important. Yes, I graduated Winter 2019, yes, I have a loan and ofc I wish I didn't have a loan, but I am happy I went to college and don't regret anything. I also don't judge people who decided not to go to college. Unlike some of you nasties on here attacking people who go to college LOL.

  6. “We need them to go to college.”
Fattest lie ever. Not everyone is gonna make it out as “the next economist or scientist who will solve the next great crisis”. It is crucial to understand that universities are businesses, and they will try to lure you in and screw you over. Unless you know your investment will pay off, that you will get the most bang for your buck, then reconsider.

  7. Let the colleges go broke. Most crooked organizations in America. The entire education system needs rebirth. The best teachers aren't in classrooms for a fee they're on youtube for free.

  8. “We NEED kids to go to college they’re our future” great since that’s a demand I expect payment for it. I accept Venmo and Paypal. Thx

  9. Let's be real. College for most people is all for the experience. I made awesome, genuine friends and had a blast a long the way… I would NOT pay the same price for an online experience. Being on campus, you learn time management, and just how to function as an adult. It's where you start to realize who you are becoming… Idk, maybe just me

  10. I relate to the girl saying this has made her want to get out there and help. This has made me want to grow up to be a nurse even more. They inspire me so much

  11. People from the USA should just come to Europe. Better schools and a lot cheaper. You can go to school at a top uni in Sweden and the whole program (3 years) can cost you 10k USD. that's pennies compared to the states.

  12. If you go or plan to go to private school than don't go until this is all over. The main reason you want to go to a private or Ivy league school is because you want connections. Zoom classes won't really help you in getting a better job.
