Apparantly now wearing a mask in public is a good idea. But 2months ago at the height of the pandemic when all hospitals had a mandatory face mask policy Mike pence decided to be the only person in a room with covid patients without a mask. Breaking the hospitals rules on face coverings, showing complete ignorance to the virus which put the UK prime minister in intensive care and finally setting a terrible example to other americans in the importance of reducing viral transmission. Now we're meant to still take this guy seriously?
Pence is Just as Zany as Trump.
I know it sounds callous, but I'd say that over the long term, refusal to wear a mask and practice social distancing is going to improve the gene pool.

If I don't wear a mask which I wont it's 100% okay. Why you ask? Well, because if you're wearing a mask you're "safe" aren't you? Therefore, I can't get you sick you Draconian imbecile.
Cloth mask do not protect the wearer because they are absorbent and permeable. Cloth mask can absorb droplets from someone else's sneeze and the virus can be sucked in every time you inhale. Not wearing a cloth mask is safer than wearing an absorbent and permeable cloth mask. The time to wear a cloth mask, is when you have the virus, because they catch the wearers spit and helps prevent spread. Pence not wearing a mask is OK because he was tested and doesn't have the virus. The others in the room are wearing a mask because they haven't been tested. They are protecting Pence by wearing a mask.

Our Vice President doesn't seem to understand that viral transmission via aerosolized saliva means it's transmissible by being in the vicinity of another person through breathing. He also seems to fail to recognize he could test negative, "pick it up" seconds thereafter, and transmit it to others in a very short period of time. It makes no sense that anyone so ignorant of the "ways and means" of viral transmission be "in charge" of the US Government's response to any virus.

The reality is that the elite such as Mr. Pence already have first dibs on the vaccine while the FDA has to make the general public wait until they feel the time is right.
