  1. Viper's don't handle? Sais who? From 1997 Motor Trend: "The GTS cut a swath of destruction through our ten tests, winning six of them outright, and only faltering significantly in 60-0-mph braking and on the wet skidpad. Although it only required 4.0 seconds for the 0-60-mph challenge, the Viper couldn’t match the Porsche‘s initial pounce off the line (and 3.7-second 0-60 performance); the GTS, however, was the leader in the quarter mile, with a 12.2-second, 119.3-mph pass, and then blew through the one-mile mark at 169.4 mph (6.8 mph faster than the 911), on its way to an atmosphere-battering terminal velocity of 187.3 mph-5.5 mph faster than the Black Forest bomber. A maximum lateral g reading of 1.01 on the dry skidpad combined with the GTS’s unerring chassis response to allow a breathtaking production-record 73.6-mph slalom pass; this tells you plenty about the way the Viper works. A pole-position lap time on the road course tells you the rest-this is more race car than street car."

  2. see little kids who don't even own a car will hype the gtr, of crouse you dumb fuck, quit trying to pull some picture online and claiming it's your shit bag

this is a nice vid though

  3. Just to clear things up, this isnt nhra, these cars didnt have the same skilled drivers, the same gear ratios, or even the same traction from rerunning on the same tires, whats more is the left track may have had an advantage, so this isnt about the hourse power or the car. There are honda civics with half the power doing better than these. So stop debating over why the gtr kept winning, there are hundreds of reasons for it having an advantage.

  4. Viper 1700 HP??, TT Vette 2000 HP?? y Nissan GTR 1400 HP y 1300 HP. Porque a la basura de autos americanos no les ponen un motor de avion? tal vez así puedan competir con autos japoneses.

  5. Unless we see dyno sheets, this is all BUUULLLSHIT!!!  There is no way around physics.  HP wins.  If not wheel spin looses…or someone is not being truthful about the power there engine is making.  2000HP vette—really? It's really making 2000HP on those runs?  1700HP viper rally? It's making 1700 HP on those runs.?? and not spining the tires off the rims…  Hmmm  "You Really Think That's Air Your Breathing"—Morpheus

  6. The final pass shows the Vette trapping 191mph which 9mph faster than the GTR. If the GTR would have ran him that last race it would have gotten pulled by a larger margin. Given a longer stretch the Vette would have kept pulling on him as well. Both cars are truly awesome but in my opinion the GTR takes out too much of the human aspect from the equation. The car practically drives itself with the computer doing most of the work for the driver. Any idiot can drive a GTR and it wouldn't surprise me to see a bunch of track day wanna-be rich guys thinking they know how to professionally drive because of this car when in reality they don't.  Let's see how they would do on a shifter kart or sport bike where you actually have to to work at being fast and possess some degree of skill and athleticism. Also if you are going to seriously pound laps around a track on the GTR I think many fan boys are in for a rude awakening. It's heavy curb weight is going to put excess stress on breaks, tires, transmission and differentials making it, no doubt, a stupid expensive car to race competitively vs its 2wd counter parts. Anything AWD is heavy, expensive and more susceptible to failure. I don't see F1 using AWD I believe they already tried it…
Just voicing my opinion, the GTR is still a beast though and cars of this caliber should all deserve respect.

  7. Arguing favorite car is like arguing favorite food. Sure there's some foods that will appear often, but it's all about taste. To each their own.
