perfect example of too big of a turbo. Smaller turbo would work much better. Bigger is not better. I put a smaller turbo on my VW diesel and it rips all over the larger ones.

Its a mechanical. No "Tune". Its rich. The turbo's are huge, which makes them hard to light, and overfueling means it stays in the boost once it gets there. He needs nitrous and less fuel. Get them lit early and stay lit, but with a 4bt that's tough. PS it sounds amazing, I hope he keeps at it. Plus to all the haters, some of the best tuning starts with trying it out, and smart people do that at a track. Stop hating.

Why do people still think more smoke = more power? It'll run better and go faster set up right which on older diesels like these means a mist of smoke once it's on boost. Smoke like this just breaks stuff (high egt's) and wastes fuel that could be making power.
