14. My son is 18 and about to graduate high school. His school is entirely virtual and he doesn't even actually live in the state he is "attending" school at anymore but they don't know that. He tells me that things are so lax that he has a little bit of reading to do for each class and then at the end of every week each class gives him a 5 question multiple-choice online quiz and as long as you get 3 out of the 5 right you pass. There is almost no point in even continuing except to get his diploma. He loves it…but he's not learning anything.

21. Thank God my daughter isn’t feeling this way! She’s a senior in high school and she loves online school. Her grades are so much better. She is a B+ average now. In school she used to be C- to even an F in some classes. She says that back when she went to school she hated it because all the kids in the class would distract her from the lessons. She loves her online counselor. She loves that she’s only getting A’s and B’s in her classes. She’s super excited for college now. Now she finally knows what she wants her major to be. She’s already enrolled in the college that she wants to go to. She may get a scholarship. She was so sick of all the social drama that would go on at school. Back when she went to school she was so depressed every day. So bummed out about everything. She didn’t want to talk about her feelings. Now she’s super happy. She talks to her boyfriend every day on the phone or online. She glows.
    It’s so sad to see that the other children are having such a hard time with the schools being closed. Everyone has their own comfort zone. I hope they get through this OK.
