Many are seeking the company of a furry friend while being forced to stay at home.

  1. obviously it's GREAt…. but the animal people have the right to be scared about all the returns of animals that YOU MADE WORSE

  2. Unlike some of these comments, I think having these animals in a home (and being returned later) is still better than being in a shelter. If you were an animal, which would you choose?!!?!? At least, the animals can be socialized now, taught how to behave in the home (include potty training), and be in a positive mental state of being. Also, the shelters I know do a good job in vetting the homes that these dogs go to. Sure, that doesn't guarantee the dog will be there forever but all these are still benefits over living in a shelter (appreciating they are generally well taken care of there). Overall, if the majority of the animals don't return, it's still better than all of them being in a shelter from Day 1. Life would be great if it was always perfect but sorry people (and animals), it's not. Think about. But yes, it's good to have "hope" but "expect" that some will be returned. That's just common sense.

  3. I got my doggers from a Marine back in November. Shes 3 and a German Shepard/Moose. It was too much dog for them but I grew up with these dogs so we were instant buddies.
Glad to see something good come from this.

  4. I feel indifferent about this……fostering is the better method. In Canada we are not adopting only fostering to avoid that situation.

  5. Please Please, people don’t dump them back at the shelter when things get better, remember they are part of your family now, love them .

  6. Honestly my 2 cats have helped me cope since i live alone. Havent seen another human in weeks but i dont feel lonely at all.
