  6. Children listen to the news and they know by the expressions and words of the adults around them that this virus is deadly. She missed and worried about her mother. This broke my heart because I know that many families/children are experiencing the same fears.

  23. Her need for that void to be filled was fulfilled (thank you mum for validating her tears and embrace).

    As a mental health clinician, keep in mind that many children don't get that void filled again or ever. They go through life hungry for that mum or dad or both to return home. Mental health crisis is greater now than ever before now it has hit our children in high volumes. Though this video is about a short term absence bc of Covid-19; in reality this depics a true long term absence for many children.
