11. I am one of those essential workers. I gave the IRS my direct deposit information . I was eligible to receive this stimulus. My pay date was last Wednesday. I have received nothing from this government, nada zilch. Direct deposits shouldn't take this long. I don't expect I will ever receive the stimulus check. I'm making extra money selling things on Mercari, on top of my job. The one thing I have learned in life is this, don't depend on Federal government for anything. Including a stimulus check. Mine is just an empty promise from a Trump Whitehouse that cares nothing about people like me.

Americans decided for the last 40 years that giving tax breaks to the wealthiest and letting the “free” market decide eveything for them from healthcare to education is the way to go – despite going through 3 recessions caused by those very policies. Now we can all enjoy the 4th one which will be so tremendous it will likely be a depression. For a country that always tells the rest of world how awesome America is, the curtain has been blown right open. 40 years of gutting the poor and middle class have resulted in a corrupt highly militarized banana republic that can’t even make enough masks for its people let alone help its own people in a pandemic. We could have had a shot to turn things around with Bernie but the establishment forced an Alzheimer’s patient on us to go head to head with a deranged orange lunatic. America is simply a huge empty slogan disappointment and a failed democracy. The greedy rich of this country who have brainwashed us and sold us all out are the primary culprits of this failed state.
