  1. True!!! The F1 has way less Horsepower, is NA as you said, and can still keep up with the Veyron, and even beat it in the 1/4 and full mile. It the F1 was remade today and built like a prissy bitch car like the Veyron with 4 Turbos or 2 superchargers and modern day technology, the veyron would be nothing.

  2. They do launch at 0….I believe the white one has done 8.3@181 and that's with a terrible 1.5 60'. Don't worry they will get that better also.

  3. I understand that in a drag race, yes this will probably win, because it has insane torque. But in terms of over-all compatibility, maintenance, and use as well as a race of greater length and handling, the Agera R will take the cake.

  4. One of the perks of being from NYC is that I'm lucky enough to have heard a Veyron in person. It's quiet enough for the driver that it doesn't get annoying but when you put your foot down all hell will break loose from that motor. The Agera R has satan and all his pals screaming out of the exhaust nonstop.

  5. i dont think you have heard a veyron in person, its loud from the outside, it sounds like a boat…and from the inside its way to quiet 🙂 when you arent pushing full throttle with a agera r, i dont think you will be deaf at the end of the day.

  6. -.- my favourite part of the Agera R is that unbalanced v8 noise that it makes 🙂 i think it all depends on taste i guess.

  7. Yea I definitely ate my words when Drive made that documentary. IN my eyes though, the noise level of that V8 still puts it a notch below the Veyron when it comes to quality.

  8. can you imagine if youre a cop and turn your lights on to pull the dude over and he takes off on you like that.

  9. I'd be inclined to agree with you too,, the Veyron is a product of how much money they could throw at the project, have VW/Bugatti even recoupped the design and original manufacturing costs on them (doubtful). Mclaren designed and built the F1 as a project/hobby car with perfection in mind as a DRIVERS car which is a pig to drive at slow speeds, the Veyron has been designed for rich folk and is computer controlled so you dont smash it into Harrods when your posing like a twat. Mclarens are FTW!

  10. Astons do look beautiful, but for what they're supposed to be, they are HEAVY, and get outrun by MUCH less expensive cars like the Boss 302 LS, the Porsche 911's etc.

All that luxury adds to performance is weight and price. The 458 being an exception because it is fairly light. Th Veyrons, Aventadors, Astons, these cars all have luxury that don't serve a performance purpose. I would much prefer a Ford GT or a Koenigsegg, as those are far more raw and "uncut performance" feeling.

  11. I'd say the Mclaren F1 always takes the cake as an Engineering marvel.
Don't forget, the veyron needed 4 turbos, where as the mclaren was completely N/A(Naturally Aspirated). The F1 created a new Era in the world of Engineering.
I'd say the Veyron is more Luxury, Personally I'm not a huge fan of veyron, simply because the Mclaren achieved what seemed to have been the impossible during its time.

    Where as the veyron..
well what do you expect from 1000Horse with 16 cylinders?

  12. Ehh, in the past I can agree but now cars performance/luxury seem to add up. The Aventador, 458, Veyron, and especially new Aston's are beautiful inside and out and can definitely put down some serious work on a track.

  13. That's the problem with alot of these supercars. You buy an extreme car like that for performance, not luxury. Cars like the Koenigseggs, the SSC Ultimate Aero, the Ford GT, even Pagani, they're pure performance, very little "luxury", except for Pagani, but that's an "exotic interior metals" kind of luxury, not actual luxury.

They Veyron, the Lamorghinis, the Ferraris, the Astons, they look great, and they are luxurious, but you must admit, the performance/$ ratio doesn't add up.

  14. Most people expect a million dollar car to be luxurious though, I mean I'd take an Agera R over a Veyron any day of the week but if you took a regular person and took them for a drive in both cars, they'd almost always choose the Veyron just because around town it doesn't feel like you're getting rammed in the ass by an electric sword.

  15. The sound level has nothing to do with quality though. You said Koenigseggs don't have the feeling of the utmost quality the Veyron has, but Koenigseggs are specifically designed to be brutal and savage quality vehicles. The Koenigseggs are world-class supercars, they're most certainly on the level of the Bugatti Veyron in terms of materials used and the strength of the body/chassis etc., and best of all, they used a Ford 4.6L v8 block as the powerplant for their first car.
