Healthcare IS a right to every single human being in the U.S. In 1986, Congress passed the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, which contained the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. The law requires hospitals to treat patients in need of emergency care regardless of their ability to pay, citizenship or even legal status. Getting healthcare is not the issue. Why some pay full price again and again and some pay nothing again and again for the same healthcare is the issue here. Bernie is pulling the wool over the eyes of the dumb downed Americans and the millions of illegal immigrants living here.
