34. Most of these gun laws really don't impact mass shootings, or gun violence in general. What does impact is instant checks done by gun dealers those have worked, but they also have had issues. The system called NICS has big gaps in the information about people because some states will not share their data, or even the military has not shared the data. This was the case with one mass shooting in Texas. 99.9% of the mass shootings were people with troubled past history in mental health. Mental health access is not good in the US unless your wealthy. The rest either get medications and a 10 minute visit, or just drink alcohol.
