  1. This moment devastated me. Pete is by all accounts the best candidate to lead America. He still is. He will be president one day, and he will have my unyielding support. As our Transportation Secretary, Pete will continue to pull people in rather than push people out. I am proud to call Pete and Chasten two of my heroes. I always will.

  6. Nov 9th when i wrote this, i saw his emdorsement of joe biden and i pray that he gets appointed to a position as either a spokesperson or secretary of defense.

  12. Watching this, again, 5 months after. Truth is, even as a non-American, I feel just as proud of Mayor Pete as I did when I first "met" him last year. More than proud actually. I keep praying America does not let him slip through her fingers; he's a gem. And I have to say this to those who keep saying he "sold out": Watch him closely. Listen closely. Look at his eyes. Those are not the eyes of someone who sold out in return for the assurance of a post in the new administration, or for money. More like someone who had to make a sacrifice for his country. Please remember that he was already making good money in McKinsey, but he still left … to be a public servant. And the easier path to the WH would have been through a seat in congress, and he didn't take it. #peteforamerica #pete2024 #mayorpete

  19. I am a Bernie supporter, but I am very sad that this man did not win the Democratic nomination. I would have loved to see Pete and his husband in the White House. They care about each other and they care about the world.

  20. Watching this video, I have to say I’m glad Pete Buttigieg withdrew at this point.
    To go on would be like taking toffee from 3 elderly babies. Today see how it has
    panned out. Have just seen Designated Survivor S3-E-10 and am convinced that
    Pete Buttigieg will be better served, next time around, if he runs as an Independent.
    He’s too outstanding for any one party to claim him. He is an Independent.

  21. I truly, sincerely wish the very best for America, 🙏🙏🙏 which is why I humbly ask you, Americans, to be smart enough and love your country enough to NOT let Mayor Pete slip through your fingers. You need a leader like him to stay solidly engaged to help win a much better era for you and your children. To be honest, we badly need a leader like Pete in our country, especially for our youth.

You – the American people just lost the best candidate…as a citizen of one of the small countries from Europe…I have to ask: what happend to the USA politics…You had a great vibrent, intelligent choice, but than YOU chose the three oldest canditates with so- so politics and one of them is not even an intelligent choice… Have in mind, at this moment, he is representing you- so is HE what YOU are? The eyes of the world are upon you and you are losing all the integrity!
    I wonder if in the end you will make another stupid decision ….but God helping YOU will come to your senses and elect at least a democrat, and I pray that Mayor Pete becomes the Vise President —at least this can atone you….GOD luck…

  37. In terms of articulation and very probable intelligence, I believe he was the best candidate. I’ve heard in discussions before that America is not fully ready for a gay president. I have to agree. He would have support of course in a major way but between Democratic Christians and Republicans alone.. I couldn’t see it. I’m sure he’s aware too and take it as good or bad, but the last 20 seconds of this clip tells me he not giving up on the future. It was that moment they were about to kiss and didn’t. The bottomline to me this says he’s still focused on his rules of appeal to the broader bases who still don’t accept. But one potential benefit I could hand him, imagine nations and leaders who stone people for homosexuality growing to respect him.. I wouldn’t be opposed to some push of world liberation. It could be possible, maybe.
