  1. Sorry why the hell was the mom playing in a park instead of out searching for her daughter. She looks like she couldn’t care less imo.

  2. There should be a law against police using the oh I think she ran away. How many killers have gotten away with their crimes against teen girls because the police said the girl ran away because the police were to lazy to do there job. That first couple of days is crucial

  3. Typically wouldn't they lab test the dirt near the scene and match it to Nick's car tire residue. Of course they didn't!! I also thought, why didn't they question the mechanic ?????? That's odd…picking up some shoe in the street??

  4. I don't blame the mother ..i got a Huge Story to tell the truth of simplicities needs to be told…..
People do things that so MUCH the people are away of…..
Huge mistakes and I know how a INNOCENT PERSON CAN BE BEATING DOWN…BUT YOU Don't NO HOW TO PROVE YOUR INNOCENT..
LOVE TO SEE IT MOORE INNOCENT PEOPLEPROVING QUILITY AND FOR A VARIOUS REASONS THE CALL YOU "GUILTY"
    THEN YOU PROVE YOUR INNOCENT
WHAT DO WE AS INNOCENTS THATS BEEN THOUGH HELL ..
    ..FOR MISTAKEN TOLD YOUR GUILTY
AND YEARS. Even an DECADES PASS what after being excuse of some that you know you didn't do Should get Back..IF
LUCKY TO SUE.SETTLE..????..FOR..HOW MUCH ME MILLIONS TIMES SO VALUABLE

  5. I thought he said cell phones didn’t exist yet, just portable faxes.

She’s way too young for him, she was taken advantage of.

  6. Um Its not ok to take someone’s life but do y’all see how If she hadn’t gotten upset over a argument that really wasn’t a huge deal (to me) she would’ve survived

  7. Um Its not ok to take someone’s life but do y’all see how If she hadn’t gotten upset over a argument that really wasn’t a huge deal (to me) she would’ve survived

  8. I don't see nick as a suspect or the mechanic because he wouldn't have come forward with evidence. Police don't normally gather enough evidence before they arrest they hope to get evidence thru pressing a statement and twist it to meet what they think. Its to bad satellite images can't be used. maybe someday the camera in the sky will be available. Thats better spent money than alot of the stupid stuff like discovering planets we will never go to.

  9. Not to be insensitive but this sounds like a novel. If it were, Nick would solve the case himself when the incompetent police didn’t. Spoiler alert: the mechanic and an accomplice (the two men yelling near the pay phone.) did it.

  10. They never said how big of an age gap? It used to be absolutely standard for older men to marry younger women but this was only a couple of years, right? I just don't think that the boyfriend did it

  11. I find it odd that no one decided to look into this mechanic who was working a swing shift and decided to pick up a random shoe off the street… The killer is often known to try and insert himself into the investigation so I’m not surprised at this guy turned the show in. And they’re just taking his word for that he found it on street 🤦🏾‍♀️

  12. Leah’s mom seems very bitter and hard. I can’t imagine how you could ever be right again after your child is murdered. 🙏🏻

  13. Nick McGuffin was released from prison. A court overturned McGuffin’s conviction in December 2019 after his lawyer had DNA evidence retested.. The DNA didn’t belong to McGuffin, but pointed to an unidentified male. McGuffin was freed from an Oregon prison in December 2019.

Hopefully they find the real culprit…

  14. How about the mom with the double standards didnt want Cherie walking on her own but didnt stop Leah from walking on her own

  15. I lived in Oregon the year this happened and we share a name. I'm surprised I hadn't ever heard of it. Rest in Peace Leah and Nick I'm sorry this happened to both of you, I hope you can find peace as well.

  16. A dude picks up a shoe, 11:30 at night!!! In the middle of the road on his way home after a long day at work!! In case a kid lost it he picked it up?!!!! That would be a 1st suspect!!!! He took the shoe home??!!!!!!!! One shoe?!!!! Really?!

  17. If his suicide attempt had been successful- the police probably would’ve closed Leah’s case & assumed that to be an admission of guilt. I’m really glad he was able to keep on going & didn’t give up because he cleared his name.

  18. Forgive me if I am wrong because I certainly don't like accusing people but, I definitely would be looking into her friend and her mother. Something feels a little off there. I can't put my finger on it.
