I'm glad they didnt haul him off to jail but I wish we had a system in place that could get drug addicts real help beyond just a place to detox for a while. He probably needs mental healthcare and some type of life training otherwise he'll fall back into the same old routine of drug abuse.

I live in a pretty cracked methy town, there's more Crack heads than sober people. Seeing this I can really feel for that addict, my self never done it but have smoked weed before, and know plenty of old users. Must have been a really stressful time for that dude, having to give up his habit to not get in trouble. Yea this cop was super nice about it, could have just dropped him and charged him with the pipe, but still… give the man props, he just gave away his key to finding relief
