I was a cub scout, a webelow and a boy scout. In all those years i was never touched in a weird way at all by anyone.

Membership has plummeted since then and raising the membership annual fee up 80% just isn't enough to keep them afloat with so few members. Sponsors have stopped donating too. This left a bad taste in my mouth. I'm a former boy scout. In the 3 years I was with them, I never had this happen to me. My leaders were extremely nice people
I was in Boy Scouts and I hated it. The whole troop I was in was nothing but bullies and the scoutmaster and Scout leaders did nothing about it. Screw the BSA. Good riddance!

when you don't supervise your leaders, don't do background checks, don't change as society changes and allow for variations in gender attitudes you lose your support base. Very few kids want to be in boy scouts anymore because they are out of touch with society as it really is.
