  1. Seeing alot of ignorant comments form people with no background or understanding of who this kayaker was (Dane Jackson, arguably the best kayaker on earth), or what he was doing. Yes this is a big fall, but it is not the biggest (180 ft Palouse falls by Tyler Bradt), nor is it the most dangerous thing he has boated. He is not insane or dumb (quite the opposite), nor is he a daredevil with a Deathwish (also quite the opposite). He is at the pinnacle of a sport he grew up in (his Dad is a Multi Time World Champion kayaker who owns a major Kayak brand/boat maker Jackson Kayaks). His entire family are world class kayakers, and the friends he boats with are as well, none of whom want to see Dane hurt and advised him before taking this on, on its safety and how to best accomplish it. He uses his skill and awareness to push the limits of this sport and has done so time and again successfully as have all of the forbearers of the sport. This form of kayaking is not for the faint of heart, nor the reckless daredevil types. It is a sport for thoughtful, aware, athletic, and calculating of which Dane finds himself at the top. Major props to him for this achievement and to all the ignorant casuals chiming in…..ok boomer.

  2. What is the kayaker's name ? Who was on the camera, rescue crew ? What brand kayak … I might want to try this in my local creek !!!
