That newscaster is off in La La land, and so is anyone who thinks you can’t recline on your own volition. Airline space is specifically thought out for this, otherwise the seats would go even further back like in a car (don’t do this in your Uber share ). The one thing you shouldn’t do is slam your seat back, or attack the chair in front of you, and you should also be ready to courteously shift to assist in people getting to the aisle if they need the help. People shouldn’t be rude about asking you to move your seat to these ends either.
I have flown plenty, recline most of the time and never had a problem. Bet you dude wouldn’t have done this had I been sitting in front of him. If he is tall AF maybe he should pay the nominal fee not to be in the last row.
TJ, the lady did comply with his request to not recline while he ate his food. She only reclined when he was finished. Do your research.

Hit the damn companies where it hurts…their fucking pockets! None of the people who make the decisions to reduce seat pitches EVER fly in those seats! If you look closely, you'll see that higher class seats have not been reduced in space, and have gotten cheaper in price as well. I wonder why?

When i notice that the person in front of me is reclining, i purposefully push against the back to prevent them from going all the way back.

The airlines should have stepped up asked the man to stop immediately hitting her seat and ask her please put her chair forward so the man was not so uncomfortable. In this situation the responsibility squarely the responsibilty of the airlines as they permit passengers to recline if the person behind the woman was uncomfortable he should of asked the staff to assist him not keeping assaulting her by pushing he seat incessantly with his fist. She is within her rights to file a law suit they're employees did nothing.
The man was in the very last seat. That seat does not recline. So he could not get away from the inclined seat in front of him.

People who recline their seats are assholes. Full stop. Economy seats are extremely cramped and someone who reclines puts their seats way way too close to the person behind. Noone needs to recline their seat.
