18. I joke with my friend now that with me emailing bezos 2 weeks ago about needing to change the lengths of shifts, how stressful is it etc that he’s nows stepping down because of it 😂.     Of course the corporate media would never bother to inform its viewers that Bezos himself made over $90 billion last year during the pandemic while over 20,000 of Amazon's poorly protected workers caught Covid-19. Your corporate bosses at Comcast — the most hated company in America — also wouldn't dream of allowing you to mention that Bezos was named Profiteer of the Year while, according to the FTC, Amazon, starting in 2016, stole slightly under $62 million (pocket change for Bezos) of the tips earned by its contract delivery drivers and used that tip money to partially subsidize Amazon's base payments to those same contract delivery delivery drivers.

    Jeff Bezos is a corporate ghoul who acquired his vast wealth — he's now worth around $188 billion — largely as a result of the backbreaking work of tens of thousand of notoriously maltreated workers, the vast majority of whom are so poorly paid that the U.S. government — American taxpayers — subsidizes their wages in the form of providing them Food Stamps, Medicaid and subsidized housing payments.

    Ain't capitalism great!!!??? Well, yes, at least for the news readers on corporate news programs such as yours and the uber-rich. For the vast majority of the working and middle classes: not so much.
